RULES
of an international radio contest on HF
"Sergei Zhydkovskyy Cup"
The contest is established by NGO "Vinnytsia regional sports and technical radio club", Ukraine in honor of their countryman Sergei Stepanovich Zhydkovskyy that in March-April 1912 carried out the airing on the first amateur radio telegraph spark from Zhmerinka, Vinnitsa region.
The aims and objectives of the contest:
- Popularization of radio;
- Promotion of work by telegraph;
- Promotion of work with low power;
- Identification of the strongest radiosportsmen-hams;
- Increasing operator skill of the participants.
CONDITIONS OF CONTEST
1. DATE OF CONTEST
Contest will be held on Friday, March 19, 2021 from 17.00 to 18.59 UTC
2. The type of radiation
Only CW
3.BANDS (bandwidth)
Contest is held on two bands of 80 and 40 meters.
Recommended bands:
3510 - 3550 kHz;
7010 - 7040 kHz.
4. POWER
The output power of the transmitter is according to the license, but no more than 100 watts (LP).
5. TOTAL RECALL
Recommended challenge in the contest is "CQ VINTEST".
6. PARTICIPANTS
The subgroup "A" - Hams Vinnitsa region.
The subgroups "B", "C", "D" - Radio amateurs in other countries and regions of Ukraine.
7. The test group
A - Single operator - Vinnitsa region. (SO-VI)
B - Single operator - OUT of Vinnitsa region. (SO - NOT VI ALL) both bands
C - Single operator - OUT of Vinnitsa region. (SO - NOT VI 40M) band 40M
D - Single operator - OUT of Vinnitsa region. (SO - NOT VI 80M) band 80M
8. GOAL CONTEST
The duration of the contest is 2 hours, which are divided into 4 mini tours of 30 minutes.
1 mini-tour: 17.00 - 17.29 (including)
2 mini-tour: 17.30 - 17.59 (including)
3 mini-tour: 18.00 - 18.29 (including)
4 mini-tour: 18.30 - 18.59 (including)
9. Repeated RADIO connections
Repeated RADIO connections can be carried out in each mini-round and in each range, that is theoretically with the same reporter it is possible to have maximum of 8 QSO.
10. Control Number
Control number of group A consists of a report and a number of URDA area, for example - 599 VI05
Control number of Groups B, C, D consists of the participant report and ordinal number of radio connection, for example - 599 001
Zero transmission in the control number is required, the numbering links is sequential throughout the time of the contest.
11. SCORING
For participants from Vinnytsya region:
- Per QSO with radio stations of Vinnitsa region - 1 point;
- Per QSO with other participants - 3 points.
For participants from other countries and regions of Ukraine:
- Per QSO with radio stations of Vinnitsa region -3 points;
- Per QSO with other participants - 1 point.
12. Multiplier
The multiplier for the participants of the Vinnitsa region is absent. For participants from other countries and regions of Ukraine URDA districts of Vinnytsia region on each band, regardless of the mini-tours, are a multiplier. Theoretically, the maximum multiplier = 70.

13. FINAL RESULT
For participants from Vinnytsya region - the sum of points of connections
For participants from other countries and regions of Ukraine - the numeral of the sum of QSO points multiplied by the total multiplier.
14. Range Change
In multiband subgroups are allowed to do no more than 5 transitions within each mini-tour. Points for radio connection carried out after the 6th transition inside a mini-tour, are not charged.
15. MANDATORY MINIMUM
The reports of participants can not be accepted, if they spent at least 15 confirmed QSOs. The term "report is not accepted" in this context means that the connections reflected in this report, are not counted for any member.
16. JUDGING
Judging is carried out on the basis of the reports received from the participants by continuous computer audit. Radio connections are not counted and excluded from the report in the following cases:
- If the Jury does not receive correspondent`s account;
- If the connection is not confirmed by the correspondent`s report;
- If there are distortions in the control numbers and call signs (link is removed from both correspondents);
- If the connection time differs by more than 3 minutes.
17. REPORTS
Reports of Sergei Zhydkovskyy Cup will only be accepted in electronic format (Cabrillo format) no later than for 14 days after the end of the competition, i.e., 2 April - the deadline. Reports are to be sent to the address: vin-test@ukr.net

In the line "CATEGORY-OPERATOR:" you must specify the category in which it is stated. Your radio is A, B, C or D. The member, providing the reports for monitoring , adds in this line the sign Z. Not important zeros in the report may not be put down in this line.
18. SOFTWARE
For Cup of Sergiy Zhydkovskyy it is recommended to use widespread free software N1MM, TR4W or AA Test with discharge repetitions in 30 minutes. Points to consider not sure it will do the judging program. For working with telegraph key input support program recommended links in the "post-contest" mode.
19. CONCLUSIONS AND AWARDing of the WINNERS
The winner in class "A" is awarded with the challenge cup, a medal and a diploma.
The winner in class "B" is awarded with cups, medals and diplomas.
The winner in the subgroups "C", "D" is awarded a medal and a diploma.
The participants of the subgroups "A", "B", those who took 2nd and 3rd places are awarded with medals and diplomas of the corresponding degrees.
Participants in the subgroups "C", "D", who took 2 and 3 places are awarded with electronic diplomas of the corresponding degrees.
